Biography
Russ is an American rapper, singer, and producer known for his independent success, platinum-certified albums, and Billboard Hot 100 hits.
Born in 1992 in Secaucus, New Jersey, he moved frequently before settling in Atlanta, where he honed his musical skills. He started making beats at 14 and later co-founded the Diemon collective, releasing 11 self-produced albums before signing with Columbia Records. His major-label debut, There's Really a Wolf (2017), went platinum and featured his breakout singles.
After successful albums Zoo (2018) and Shake the Snow Globe (2020), he left Columbia in 2020 to go independent. His projects Chomp and Chomp 2 showcased collaborations with top-tier rappers, while Santiago (2023) reinforced his longevity.
Beyond music, Russ is a bestselling author, with It’s All in Your Head (2019) and It Was You All Along (2024), and made his acting debut in M. Night Shyamalan’s Trap (2024).
