Biography

Merkules, born Cole Stevenson in Surrey, British Columbia, is a Canadian rapper known for his "hangover-rap" style and emotionally charged lyrics.

Stevenson began rapping at 15 under the name Merk Mikz, later collaborating with Snak the Ripper. His 2016 album Scars was inspired by a violent attack that left him with permanent facial scars.

He gained further recognition with albums like Trust Your Gut (2017) and Cole (2018). His 2019 album Special Occasion featured the song "Bass," later included in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2.

In 2020, Merkules released Apply Pressure through BMG and appeared on Dr. Phil. He later signed with Death Row Records, releasing the 2022 single "I'm Here."

With over 900,000 monthly Spotify listeners as of 2023, Merkules continues to expand his influence in hip-hop.
