Biography
Mozzy, born Timothy Cornell Patterson in 1987, is an American rapper from Sacramento, California, known for his raw storytelling.
He gained mainstream recognition with Last One Standing (2021).
He started rapping as Lil Tim in 2004, changing to Mozzy in 2012. His breakout came with Bladadah (2015), praised by Rolling Stone. His albums 1 Up Top Ahk (2017) and Gangland Landlord (2018) made the Billboard 200.
Signing with CMG in 2022, Mozzy released Survivor’s Guilt, featuring Real Ones with Roddy Ricch. His collaborations include YG (Kommunity Service, 2021) and CMG’s Gangsta Art series.
Raised by his grandmother in Sacramento’s Oak Park, Mozzy left school and pursued rap full-time in 2010. He moved to LA and built his career through independent releases before signing major deals.
Despite success, Mozzy has faced controversies, including a long-running feud with Sacramento rapper Lavish D. His music remains influential in West Coast hip-hop, blending gritty realism with introspective storytelling.
