Biography
Magixx is a Nigerian singer and songwriter known for blending trap, dancehall, Afropop, and R&B in his music.
Born and raised in Lagos, he developed an early passion for music, drawing inspiration from Fela Kuti and DMX. He honed his skills in the church choir and later studied Mass Communication at the University of Lagos.
His breakthrough came in 2019 with Problem, a track that gained recognition from industry leaders like Don Jazzy. This led to his signing with Mavin Records in 2021, where he released his debut EP Magixx.
In 2022, he gained wider recognition with Love Don't Cost a Dime (Re-Up) featuring Ayra Starr, which peaked at number 8 on the TurnTable Top 50. That same year, he released his second EP, ATOM, to positive reviews.
In 2023, Magixx continued his rise with singles like Colors (My Baby), Loyal, and Maria, solidifying his presence in the Nigerian music scene.
