Biography
Balu Brigada is a New Zealand alt‑pop band from Auckland, led by brothers Henry and Pierre Beasley, known for catchy, genre‑blending tunes.
Formed in 2016 as Baloo, they soon rebranded to Balu Brigada to avoid legal issues. The original lineup featured Henry on vocals and guitar, Charles on drums, Pierre on keyboards, and Guy on bass.
After lineup changes, Henry and Pierre became multi‑instrumentalists and dual vocalists. They signed with Warner Music Australia and Atlantic Records in September 2022 and relocated to New York City.
They released their debut EP “I Should Be Home” in 2022, addressing break‑ups and self‑discovery. Their second EP “Find A Way” (2023) features viral tracks “Designer” and “2Good.”
They opened for Twenty One Pilots on the Clancy World Tour in 2024, and will join their Europe & UK leg in April–May 2025, before headlining a US tour in Feb–Mar 2025.
