Biography
Sia Kate Isobelle Furler (born December 18, 1975) is an Australian singer and songwriter known for her unique voice and songwriting talent.
She began her career in the mid-1990s as a singer in the acid jazz band Crisp.
After Crisp disbanded in 1997, Sia released her debut album, OnlySee. She later collaborated with the British duo Zero 7 and released her second and third albums, Healing Is Difficult (2001) and Colour the Small One (2004).
Sia’s mainstream success came with her albums Some People Have Real Problems (2008) and We Are Born (2010), both certified gold in Australia. After taking a break from performing, she became a sought-after songwriter, penning hits for artists like David Guetta, Rihanna, and Beyoncé.
Her 2014 album 1000 Forms of Fear marked her breakthrough as a solo artist, with the hit single "Chandelier." She later released This Is Acting (2016), which included the chart-topping "Cheap Thrills," and her 2024 album, Reasonable Woman.
Sia has been an advocate for animal rights and has received numerous awards, including Grammy nominations and ARIA Awards.
