Biography
Lucy Dacus (born May 2, 1995) is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist from Richmond, Virginia.
She gained recognition with her debut album, No Burden (2016), which led to a deal with Matador Records. Her follow-up albums, Historian (2018) and Home Video (2021), received critical acclaim.
Beyond her solo work, Dacus is a member of the indie supergroup Boygenius alongside Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker. The band won three Grammy Awards in 2024, becoming the first all-female group to win Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance.
In 2023, Rolling Stone ranked Dacus among the greatest guitarists of all time.
She announced her fourth album, Forever is a Feeling, in January 2025, releasing the single Ankles the same day.
