Biography
Lime Cordiale is an Australian pop-rock band formed in 2009, consisting of brothers Oliver and Louis Leimbach. They debuted with Permanent Vacation in 2017.
Their second album, 14 Steps to a Better You, earned them ARIA's Breakthrough Artist – Release award in 2020.
Lime Cordiale began as a duo with the Leimbach brothers, performing in various live shows. In 2011, they opened for Icehouse and released several singles. By 2012, they expanded their lineup with new members, including James Jennings and Brendan Champion.
Their first EP, Faceless Cat, came out in 2012, featuring the single "Pretty Girl." In 2013, they released a second EP, Falling Up the Stairs, followed by Road to Paradise in 2015, solidifying their growing presence in Australia’s indie scene.
The group’s debut album, Permanent Vacation, came in 2017, gaining praise for its blend of pop, rock, and jazz influences. It charted in the ARIA Top 100, and they toured extensively to promote it.
Their second album, 14 Steps to a Better You, topped the ARIA charts after its release in 2020. With hits like "Robbery," Lime Cordiale earned national recognition, placing multiple tracks in the Triple J Hottest 100.
