Keri Hilson is an American R&B and pop singer-songwriter known for her chart-topping collaborations and solo success in the late 2000s and early 2010s.
Raised in Decatur, Georgia, she began as a teenage songwriter and backing vocalist before joining the production group The Clutch in 2004. She contributed to hits for Usher, Britney Spears, and Mary J. Blige, establishing herself behind the scenes before launching a solo career.
Her breakout came with the 2007 Timbaland hit "The Way I Are", which charted globally. In 2009, she released her debut album In a Perfect World..., earning gold certification and spawning the Grammy-nominated single “Knock You Down” with Kanye West and Ne-Yo.
Her 2010 follow-up No Boys Allowed included the platinum hit “Pretty Girl Rock.” After a lengthy hiatus, Hilson returned in 2025 with the single “Bae,” leading into her long-awaited third studio album We Need to Talk.
