Biography
KALEO is an Icelandic folk‑rock band formed in 2012, celebrated for its blend of blues, folk, country, and rock influences in a distinctive sound.
Formed by childhood friends from Mosfellsbær, the band added guitarist Rubin Pollock to complete its lineup. Their early work embraced raw energy and genre diversity.
Their debut album "KALEO" (2013) quickly earned gold status in Iceland, launching them on a European tour. Early tracks like "Glasshouse" set the stage for rising fame.
In 2015, Kaleo signed with Atlantic Records and moved to Austin, Texas. Their hit single "Way Down We Go" became a global sensation, featured in TV and film.
Their second album, A/B (2016), hit the Billboard 200, and later, Surface Sounds (2021) confirmed their worldwide acclaim and evolving artistry. Their legacy continues to grow.
