Biography
Charles Wesley Godwin (born May 18, 1993) is a country-folk musician from Morgantown, West Virginia, known for his heartfelt songwriting and performances.
Godwin grew up in Morgantown and played football in high school. He later studied finance at West Virginia University, where he began learning guitar and writing songs.
His debut album Seneca was released in 2019, followed by How the Mighty Fall in 2021. Both albums received positive reviews for their emotional depth and storytelling.
Charles toured with Zach Bryan in 2022 and collaborated with him on the song “Jamie.” In 2023, he released a live EP, Live From the Church.
In September 2023, he released Family Ties under Big Loud, an album focused on his family relationships. He was also featured in The Hunger Games: The Ballads of Songbirds & Snakes soundtrack.
