Biography
Pharrell Williams is a Grammy-winning American musician and producer, known for his genre-defying sound and global chart-topping hits.
He rose to prominence in the '90s as one half of The Neptunes, a prolific production duo with Chad Hugo, crafting hits for artists like Britney Spears, Jay-Z, and Nelly. The pair also formed the band N.E.R.D. with Shay Haley, blending hip-hop, rock, and funk into a distinct sonic signature.
Pharrell launched his solo career with the single "Frontin'" in 2003, followed by the album In My Mind (2006). He achieved global success with collaborations on "Get Lucky" with Daft Punk and "Blurred Lines" with Robin Thicke in 2013, both dominating international charts.
His 2013 single "Happy", featured on the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack, became a cultural phenomenon, earning him an Academy Award nomination and anchoring his acclaimed 2014 album Girl.
Beyond music, Pharrell has earned 13 Grammy Awards and co-founded the label Star Trak Entertainment. He's also a fashion entrepreneur, heading the creative direction of Louis Vuitton’s menswear since 2023.
