Ghost is a Swedish rock band formed in 2006, combining theatricality, heavy metal, and arena rock. Their debut album, Opus Eponymous (2010), earned international recognition.
The band's unique on-stage persona includes members dressed as "Nameless Ghouls" and the lead vocalist performing as "Papa Emeritus," a character with demonic anti-pope imagery.
After Tobias Forge's identity as the lead singer was revealed in 2017, Ghost gained further fame with the Grammy-winning single "Cirice" (2016). The band's distinct sound blends hard rock, metal, and theatrical performance.
Ghost has released several critically acclaimed albums, including Infestissumam (2013), Meliora (2015), Prequelle (2018), and Impera (2022). Their unique blend of horror-inspired visuals and music sets them apart in the rock genre.
