Biography

Fredo Bang, born Fredrick Dewon Thomas Givens II on March 29, 1996, is an American rapper from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He gained recognition with his 2020 hit "Top," later remixed with Lil Durk, earning platinum certification.

He first gained attention with the 2015 track "iPhone 6" alongside Blvd Mel and Gee Money. His breakout single, "Oouuh," released in 2018, helped establish him in the rap scene. His most popular songs, including "Trust Issues" and "Father," have amassed millions of views on YouTube.

In 2020, he was featured on Moneybagg Yo’s track "Spin on Em" before releasing his debut album Most Hated, which reached No. 110 on the Billboard 200. His mixtape In the Name of Gee followed later that year, peaking at No. 40.

Raised in Baton Rouge, Fredo Bang was close to rappers Krazy Trey and Da Real Gee Money, both of whom were tragically killed. Their influence shaped his music and lyrical themes.

With a mix of melodic hooks and raw storytelling, Fredo Bang has solidified his place in Southern hip-hop, collaborating with major artists while continuing to build his career.
